1 Jan 69: Flight operations were not hampered by weather or enemy action. HMM-364 flew 90 sorties for 27.0 flight hours, lifting 3.5 tons of cargo and 141 troops/passemgers and expending 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Eleven medevac missions carried 4 Emergency, 25 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. One fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 2 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 52 sorties for 15.1 flight hours, lifting 41 troops/passengers. Nine medevac missions carried 7 Emergency, 2 Priority and 11 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. 3 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 141 sorties for 43.8 flight hours, lifting 18.0 tons of cargo and 241 troops/passengers and expending 200 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Seven medevac missions carried 5 Priority and 9 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. 9 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 173 sorties for 44.4 flight hours, lifting 16.3 tons of cargo and 658 troops/passengers. Fifteen medevac missions carried 7 Emergency, 20 Priority and 15 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. 10 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 123 sorties for 37.7 flight hours, lifting 12.1 tons of cargo and 471 troops/passengers. Two enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 28 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 98 sorties for 23.1 flight hours, lifting 332 troops/passengers and expending 1,880 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Four aircraft from HMM-364 YK-2, YK-7, YK-6 and YK-16 received several hits from enemy fire while supporting Operation Linn River. 29 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 61 sorties for 22.6 flight hours lifting 5.3 tons of cargo and 125 troops/passengers. Fourteen medevac missions carried 6 Emergency, 6 Priority and 7 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. 31 Jan 69: HMM-364 flew 127 sorties for 38.2 flight hours lifting 20.0 tons of cargo and 259 troops/passengers. Thirteen medevac missions carried 12 Emergency, 3 Priority and 2 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Taylor Common, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. One enemy fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits. To recap the daily listing, HMM-364 flew 3,510 sorties for 1,005.6 flight hours during the period 1-31 January with an average availability of 5 aircraft, lifting 6,265 troops/passengers and 329.3 tons of cargo. 554 medevac missions evacuated a total of 1,086 evacuees of which 293 were Emergency, 432 Priority and 361 Routine. A total of 6,665 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition was expended. |
